Portals of Salvation

Nihil can allay my grievous life
That dwells solus in the dark.
Vale lies amidst my place
Searching for perpetual solace.

Yet the Lord drifted beyond my portals
That iniquity has transgressed
Rendered His life spontaneously,
To mend the callous part of me.

There’s no consolation in lieu of Calvary
When Yahweh suffered His son away.
None fathom the pain He knows
To proffer a life eternal to my soul.

He alone know what I know not of myself…
I am His sanctuary.
In reproach or shame by my side He stays
Without façade in snug I lay.

My life is in the right place with my Lord…
Though He’s so far away
My faith assures He’s right here with me
And that’s what sets my heart in place.
