Flight of the Vagabond

I have tendered you within my thoughts …
Benevolently gained you amidst my portal
I have sought your vague contents
Within the hollow vaults of my mind
I sowed forth your fervent needs
Amongst the solus gale of my flight
I have drifted you through the vessel of my life…
And carved your karn amidst my sight.
Oh! How I’ve harnessed your pain unto my deepest repose
To bereave you from anguish is my sweetest berceuse
I’ve sewed my flesh to the garment of your presence
And fastened your aura to the breeze of my silence.
I have probed for safety to permeate your start
Betrothed for Godspeed amidst my wholeheart.
The assent of us that yonder may not thwart
To concur to consolation I must bound to remark.
The price of my travail a portion of your heart
My sole fervid supplication in each daybreak’s mark.
To behold you hitherwards morrow my dearest reward…
And yet in my mind’s abode with you forever forth
Languishes still my longest, and deepest hurt.
