About Me

elinel_rabara_poet_psalmist

Elinel’s passion in writing started at a very young age when her teacher at Holy Family Academy, Ms. Virginia Lambert, noticed her gift in writing novels at the age of thirteen. Mrs. Lambert urged her to nurture, pursue, and achieve what she called a rare special gift and even offered full financial college support to develop her writing skills.

In addendum to writing, she was a private dental practitioner and hospital dentist for more than a decade and is currently a US Registered Nurse. She is a member of California Writers, West Valley Communicators of Los Gatos, was a health section contributor of Fashion Aesthetics and Beauty magazine in Manila, and was a Literary Editor of Dentinum Medicus UE College of Dentistry, Philippines. She is also known to her friends as a good-humored comedian. Her interests and hobbies include playing the piano, flute, recorder, and other wind instruments; singing, traveling, arts and crafts, building and managing website, computer, and internet technology. Also dubbed by some of her friends and doctors as a “fighter” she undauntedly battled a rare inborn syndrome which affected her health and vision at a very young age. Moreover, she is a survivor of the second largest terrestrial eruption of the 20th century “The Mt. Pinatubo Eruption”.

Elinel’s poetry is a reflection of nature, love, faith, hope, friendship, life’s experiences, and philosophies.  It is a collection of inspirations and praises composed at any instance, place, and time; usually triggered by a place, event, insight, word, art, action, or emotion. While some of her poems are bible inspired; others were written as requested.

The goal of this website is to enlighten, motivate, heal, and encourage those who are blind, disabled or sick, suffered loss; are discouraged or in despair. May this inspire even people who have gone through a lot, such as victims of disaster, injustice, and calamity. This website also aspires to uplift organ donors and recipients.

This is dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ, God of the Psalms and Poetry, Lover of Our Soul, Author of Our Life, Defender, Healer, and Mighty Savior.

Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
